YMCA Volunteering
Thank you to the many volunteers who have given their time to volunteer at the YMCA. If you currently volunteer or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Nancy Buxton at 928-6704. We appreciate the time many of you have taken to make the YMCA a success and look forward to growing and meeting the needs of our community with your help. Volunteer at the YMCA today in our Welcome Center, with our free Kids Club, Child Watch and Junior Fitness Programs, with Swim Lessons or something as simple as helping keep our facility clean and organized.

Our "Youth Volunteer Program" is a perfect way to introduce the youth in the Wood River Valley to the importance of lending a hand and the economic, social and individual career benefits of volunteering.

Fitness Happenings at the Y
Post-Thanksgiving Yoga
Restorative Yoga promotes stress relief, tackles sleep deprivation, and quiets the mind. We could all use some R&R! So come to the Y on Saturday, November 28th at 4:30-5:45pm. Katherine Pleasants will be conducting a Restorative Yoga Clinic. This clinic will give you more individualized attention to your yoga practice. Please sign up at the front desk in advance. Members: $12; Non Member: $20

Candy Cane Challenge!
Pick up your blank candy cane at the YMCA Fitness Desk for just $5! For each healthy choice you make this holiday season you'll earn a stripe. This is a fun and easy way to stay conscious of your personal wellness throughout the early winter months. Candy Cane Challenge starts November 27th and ends January 4th.

More Gentle Yoga
Starting in December, the Y will be offering a third Gentle Yoga class on Fridays at 12:15-1:15pm. This class will last through the winter and is a part of your membership.

Hunger Coalition Food Drive at the YMCA
The YMCA Food Drive begins Monday, November 23rd, with proceeds to benefit The Blaine County Hunger Coalition. Please bring items to the designated table in the lobby of the YMCA.

The YMCA's Holiday Giving Trees
The YMCA Holiday Giving trees will be going up right after Thanksgiving. This year, we will be supporting local children from The Advocates. Come check it out in our front lobby and help put a extra bright smile on local families.
